Quantum Fall Fest Singapore 8 – 11, 13 December 2025

Quantum Fall Fest is an extension of IBM Quantum’s global Qiskit Fall Fest initiative, which partners with student bodies worldwide to host campus-level events promoting quantum computing. The 2025 edition held in Singapore, which was also the inaugural session, was designed primarily for beginners and those curious about the field, with the goal of demystifying and democratizing quantum computing.

There was a total of 42 participants from local universities, polytechnics, junior colleges and institutes from Malaysia. Organised by NTU and NUS physics students with sponsorship from NUS Physics, the program featured hands-on workshops on foundational topics, lab visits showcasing state-of-the-art research facilities in Singapore, guest talks on key themes such as quantum and AI, quantum cryptography, and quantum supremacy as well as sessions highlighting the Singapore quantum ecosystem and potential career pathways.
The NUS Physics Society organising members included Hui Xiang, Sodsri Nopparuj (Toto), Su Tianshui and Arushi.

The guest speakers were as follows:
- Prof Valerio Scarani (NUS)— History of Quantum and the Second Quantum Revolution
- Asst/Prof Ernest Tan (NUS) — Quantum Cryptography
- Dr Lirande Pira (CQT) — Quantum × AI: Challenges and Opportunities
