NUS–SNU AI for Science Symposium, 11–12 February 2026
NUS Physics was delighted to host a one-and-a-half day symposium on AI for Science between the National University of Singapore (NUS) Faculty of Science and the Seoul National University (SNU) College of Natural Sciences. Led by Dean Professor Jaejun Yu, the SNU delegation visited NUS to explore synergies in AI for Science research and education, and to learn more about NUS Physics’ innovative AI for Science MSc programme (click here for more), including the AI for Science Gym (click here for more).
The symposium featured a workshop with around 50 participants engaging in vibrant discussions on the latest ideas in AI for Science and Science for AI. Diverse topics, such as collective spatiotemporal motif sensing, a scientific foundation model with time-domain astrophysics, and multiomics-based precision medicine, were presented at the workshop.
Associate Professor Duane Loh from NUS Physics remarked, “We are excited to build this into a lasting partnership, with future symposia planned alternately at SNU and NUS. Here’s to deep collaboration, shared learning, and shaping the future of AI in Science together!”
