Liquid Nitrogen Facility
Leeden Nox Liquid Nitrogen Storage Facility
The department rents a liquid nitrogen (LN2) storage facility from Leeden Nox Oxygen Ltd as a convenient source of LN2.Users may withdraw LN2 with approval from the staff-in-charge.
The facility is located at NUS Carpark 6, between Block S7 and S11.
Charges:
Effective from 1 January 2026, a nominal charge will be incurred for external users who withdraw LN2 from our rented LN2 storage facility. The charges are as follows:

Withdrawal Process
Users are to inform staff-in-charge (see below), preferably 1 working day in advance, to arrange for drawing of LN2 Storage key.

Fill in the Liquid Nitrogen Withdrawal Form (found at the top of the page) just before or when drawing the keys and verify with the staff-in-charge that the form has been submitted. A picture of your LN2 storage tank will be required.
After withdrawal of keys, users may proceed to withdraw LN2 with the required PPE as shown below. Users and their respective research groups may be banned from using this facility if found not compliant to the safety requirements. Users are to return the keys immediately after LN2 withdrawal..

- If you are unsure which charging category your group falls under or have any other questions, please contact Mr. Tan Jyh Harng for more details.
- The Requester is responsible for the cost of repair or replacement for damage arising from misuse, negligence, or failure to follow SOPs. This includes the loss of the LN2 storage keys.
- The Department has the right and final decision to revise the charges at any time without prior notice.
