Gas Cylinder Storage Facility
The department offers a storage yard for compressed gas cylinders. It is located at S7-01-GCS1.
This storage yard is only for shared use for the department and its’ research groups.
Withdrawal of Storage Key
Please contact the staff-in-charge, preferably 1 working day in advance, to arrange for drawing of the Storage key.

Fill in the Gas Cylinder Storage Facility Key Withdrawal Form just before or when drawing the keys and verify with the staff-in-charge that the form has been submitted.
Important information:
- 2 compressed gas cylinder trollies is available for shared usage in the storage facility. Please ensure that it is returned to the storage facility after use.
- Compressed gas cylinders must be tagged with information of the owner and usage status.
- Cylinder tags are available in the storage facility. If it has run out, please contact staff-in-charge (contact information below).
- Users may use their own gas cylinder tags as long they can clearly identify the cylinder and usage status.
- Please put empty gas cylinders into the empty gas cylinders section for easy identification when gas cylinders vendor collect empty gas cylinders.
Safety and Other Information
- Risk Assessment and Standard Operating Procedure related to handling of compressed gas cylinders
- The user is responsible for the cost of repair or replacement for damage arising from misuse, negligence, or failure to follow SOPs. This includes the loss of the storage keys.
