Bruker Dimension Icon® AFM with ScanAsyst®

High performance large-sample, 90μm x 90μm scan range system. With sub-1Å Z resolution. Contact, TappingMode™ and ScanAsyst™ Modes available.

JEOL JSM-6700F FESEM with Oxford Instrument X-Max 150 EDX

The 6700F FESEM offers up to 1.0 nm resolution at 15 kV and 650K times of magnification in SEI mode. EDX mode is also available.

Hitachi TM3030Plus SEM with Bruker Quantax 70 EDX

Quick and easy to use tabletop SEM. Offers SEI, BSE and compositional scanning modes with magnification up to 60k times at 15kV. EDX mode is also available.

Malvern Panalytical’s X’Pert³ XRD

Modular X‑ray diffractometer suitable for phase ID, crystallinity, texture/stress, and analysis of powdered and thin film materials.

ESCALAB Mk2 with Omicron 7-Channeltron Analyser

This UHV Vacuum Generators ESCALAB Mk2 system has an upgraded Omicron EA125 U7 with XPS, UPS and mono-XPS in one analysis chamber.

Note: Only XPS analysis is offered to external users currently.

Further information on charges:
  • Rates are exclusive of taxes, third-party fees (if any) and consumable fees (if any).
  • The Department of Physics may revise rates upon at least 30 days’ written notice.
  • Invoicing: Issued monthly to the Requester’s designated billing entity; payment due within 30 days of invoice date.
  • Late Payment: The Department of Physics may restrict or suspend access until payment is received by user. The restriction or suspension is applicable to the user and the user’s research group.
  • User-Induced Damage: The Requester is responsible for the cost of repair or replacement for damage arising from misuse, negligence, or failure to follow SOPs.
  • Cancellations: Must be made at least 1 day prior to the booked time; late cancellations or no-shows may be charged up to the full booked period.
