MY SPECIFIC RESEARCH TOPICS

Quantum physics is the basis for most of modern physics (high-energy, condensed matter, atomic and molecular, even cosmology and astrophysics).
At the moment of writing, quantum physics is unchallenged: no observed phenomena indicate a deviation from its predictions.
The defining feature of quantum physics is the existence of superposition states ("coherence"). In particular, coherence in composite systems may manifest itself in "entanglement".
Check your understanding of the basics of quantum physics (PPT).
For many years, the main features of quantum physics have been presented as "negative": "position and momentum cannot be both known", "it's random, therefore not fully under our control"...
Quantum information assumes a positive outlook: given that Nature is as it is, what can we do with it? Quantum cryptography (1984, 1991), teleportation (1993), quantum computing (1994) are the most famous notions arising from this new approach.
Quantum information has also revived the interest both in technically demanding experiments (for which it has provided a catchy motivation) and in foundational issues (to which it has added an experimental flavor).
My version of the whole story.
Browse some (if not all) research papers:

Non-local correlations, Bell's inequalities
While keeping an eye on foundational issues (PR-boxes, Leggett's model), I am more inclined to show that they are actually very useful: device-independent tasks, dimension-witnesses...

Quantum cryptography
The field has become quite technical, but with a review article one can get up to date.

Theory for optics experiments
Sometimes, we provide ideas for experiments; some other times, we help in the description.
