About Singapore            click here for its map

Nestled at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula in Southeast Asia, Singapore is a bustling tropical hub. Both a shining metropolis and cultural treasure chest, it embodies the perfect blend of western modernity and rich Asian heritage. Home to a population of almost four million, this island nation has earned its fame as an intoxicating, efficient and clean city, and welcomes scores of visitors every year.

Malay is the national language, but English is the most widely spoken in Singapore. Other major languages include Mandarin and Tamil.

Singapore has an equatorial climate and is warm and humid all year round. There is little variation in temperature range, with an average minimum of 23oC and maximum of 33oC. Rainfall is common throughout the year, peaking in the months of November and December.
