ONDL research paper attracts the 1,000^th citation

A research paper “General observation of n-type field-effect behaviour in organic semiconductors” published in Nature in 2005 by ONDL scientists Lay-Lay Chua and Peter Ho, in collaboration with Richard Friend and co-workers at the University of Cambridge, and colleagues at the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering, A*STAR (Singapore), crossed the 1,000^th citation last week, making it the most highly cited original research article in the physical sciences with NUS correspondence authorship of all time, according to the Thomson Reuters Web of Science. “A reason why this work has excited the wider community is that it prompted a paradigm shift in the thinking of electron traps in organic semiconductors, which opens new technological possibilities in plastic electronics,” said Peter Ho.
