 •To mimic and control biomineralization/demineralization under the influence of bio-molecules/bio-complexes and various bio-substrates based on the understanding of Biomineralization/demineralization kinetics.

•To develop the microstructure approaches to engineer hard tissue such as bone and tooth.

(a) Parabolic flight to generate  a microgravity environment. (b)  Heterogeneous  nucleation occurs in most cases under gravity and at low supersaturations leads to the formation  of spherules pattern; microgravity will promote genuine homogeneous nucleation. (In cooperation with Dr. K. Tsukamoto.)
