The large Western Baray (which still holds water) and its embankments are clearly visible. So is the Vishnu temple (Western Mèbon) in the centre of the reservoir. The eastern end is shallow at present. A pair of large dikes, part of the old irrigation system, show up southeast of the reservoir. Details of the airstrip is clearly visible along with the local network of roads.

The other striking part of the image is the edge of the Tonlè Sap in the southwestern corner. The fluctuating edge of the great lake is clearly seen among the swamps and the paddy fields.
