A number of interesting problems within biopolymer physics - actually in physics generally - cannot be solved analytically. Therefore it is useful for physics students to become acquainted with computational methods during their studies. We provide some algorithms to solve example problems.

Most of the scripts use Matlab. Students without access to Matlab could use Octave, which is a free implementation of the Matlab language. It is available for many platforms. Check the links for more information. The provided scripts offer full compatibility to Octave.
