The immersion trip will be heavily subsidized by the Faculty of Science and the Physics Department, and an
affordable contribution will be paid by the students. It is o
pen to all NUS Physics students.

The Munich two weeks stay will include visits of

• laboratories at the University of Munich,
• a number of Max Planck Institutes;
• the Wendelstein observatory
• the Garching Research Reactor
• the Deutsches Museum;
• one or more Biergartens.


The Göttingen programme will include:

• Visits to physics institutes of the Georg August Universität,
• Talks on nano wires, experimental high energy physics, focussed ion beams, x-ray physics and more
• An open-air-concert in the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Park in Göttingen
• A visit to the Sartorius company, a technology provider covering biotechnology and mechatronics.
• A visit to the former students jail of Göttingen University

Please fill up the application form and submit the completed form to Prof BG Englert, S15 #03-01. The applications for GIT-08 should be submitted by 31 March 2008.
