His research areas cover nonlinear optics, ultrafast pulse spectroscopy , nanophotonics, nonlinear optical materials, optical limiting, and optical switching. He has co-authored nearly 100 papers published in scientific journals, and made over 50 conference presentations. His research papers have been cited over 1500 accumulatively.
-
Major contributions that he has made are his pioneering works on optical limiting with metal clusters and carbon nanotubes. Currently, his research interest is focused on both ultrafast optical nonlinearities and photo-dynamics of nano-materials like polymers, semiconductor quantum dots and carbon nanotubes.
