Current Research and Future Direction

My research focuses on the investigation of the interface problems associated with molecular electronics, organic electronics and graphene-related devices, including:

  • Fabrication of well-ordered functional molecular nanostructure arrays via self-assembly on surfaces or surface nanotemplates, for future application of molecular electronics and solid state quantum computation;

  • Molecular-level interface controlled organic thin films or organic heterojunctions for the application of organic electronics, with particular emphasis on organic photovoltaic devices;

  • Graphene-related devices, with particular focus on the single crystalline graphene epitaxially grown on SiC substrates
