Current Research and Future Direction

  • Fabrication and spectroscopy study on novel complex systems and nanostrucutured strongly correlated electron systems in bulk as well as ultra thin film form, such magnetic materials, high temperature superconductors, organic semiconductors, and molecular electronics materials.

  • Develop (and use) various novel modern synchrotron-based spectroscopy methods, such resonant soft x-ray (and magnetic) scattering (RSXS), vacuum ultraviolet-free electron laser (VUV-FEL) Raman spectroscopy, and ultraviolet-vacuum ultratraviolet (UV-VUV) optical ellipsometry.
