Feedback and communication EHS related issues

Department sincerely welcomes your feedback.

Feedback:

Staff or employees should be encouraged to provide feedback on issues related to Environment,

Health and safety (EHS).

Provide feedback through proper chain of command:

-Immediate supervisor

-Department Safety Committee Members

-Heads

-Deans

-Faculty Safety Officer or Safety Coordinator

-OSHE (if all else fails)

 

Importance:

- Feedback is needed to ensure continual improvement.

- Feedback can result in:

- Improvements in safety

- Healthier work environment

- Cost savings

-Opportunity for Improvement

 

Modes of Communication:

- Talk directly to your supervisor, HoD or Faculty Safety Officer.

- VOICE - Staff Suggestion Scheme

- The issue to be raised during safety committee meeting or discussed on ad-hoc basis.

- The staff who has given feedback should be updated on actions taken to address his concern.
