Introduction:
The Department of Physics of the National University of Singapore (NUS) invites graduate students from Indian Universities and Indian Institutes to participate in summer internship programme SIPIS-08. During the programme, participants will be introduced to NUS research environment, interact with NUS professors and complete a project that is related to ongoing research.
SIPIS-08 is targeted at Indian graduate students (M.Sc. or M.Tech.) who will have completed their M.Sc. or M.Tech. in May 2009. More advanced students may apply as well.
All participants will be attached to the Physics Department, NUS, for a minimum if 6 weeks and a maximum of 8 weeks, in period of 10 May ~ 31 July. They will be accommodated on NUS campus and will receive a daily allowance sufficient to cover expenses in Singapore. Travel grants are available on a competitive basis.
Programme:
- Discovering new technologies arising from recent cutting-edge research.
- Participants will be involved in a short project based on related ongoing research.
